Home Room Parents

• Must be active Home and School Member

 

• If Homeroom Parents are in the building for classroom parties, you MUST have clearances on file with CSD. You will not be permitted to enter without them. Additionally, bring a photo ID for entrance.

 

• Each classroom needs to choose one lead parent. This parent will be the person to communicate with the teacher for parties or activities. Information should be shared with the other room parents in a timely manner if there is more than one. 

 

• Room parents typically plan and host a Halloween and Valentines Day Party.  Please coordinate with teacher with regards to allergies, accommodations needed, and restrictions regarding photography.

 

• If space allows and help is needed you may join the class on their class trip at the discretion of the teacher.

 

• You may coordinate a class gift for a holiday or end of year with the families. 

  • Some teachers may provide you with the email address of the families. Another option is to create a letter to go home for families to return with their email addresses or cell #’s. This will allow you to contact those people to coordinate a class gift without ruining the surprise for the teacher. 

  • The Home & School Association asked teachers for “Wish Lists.” If they chose to provide them, they can be accessed HERE if you are a Home & School Member! This comes in handy for ideas for a class gift! Teachers truly appreciate receiving gifts they need for their classrooms!
